All responses are in bold print.
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division)received your response to
the Division's third adequacy review on May 25, 2017. An electronic copy was sent to the
Division on May 19, 2017. The application has been revised to include the acreage associated
with the proposed access road to the site. Overall, the adequacy review items from the Division's
previous letters have been addressed. However, based on the new exhibits submitted, several
new items have been identified. Please address the following issues:
Exhibit E - Maps
1. Included with the submittal were several revised maps. The map labeled Exhibit E- Location
Map, is not drawn to scale and the boundaries of the permit area were labeled and the length of
each side of the affected boundary are shown on the map. This map and the perimeter of the
affected area depicts a permit area of 9.9 acres including the affected area associated with the
proposed access road and the pit excavation. The following maps were also revised and
submitted: Exhibit E—Aerial Photo Map, Reclamation Map and Mining Plan Map. Using the
scales shown on each of these maps, the boundary shown on these revised maps do not match the
Exhibit E—Location Map perimeter lengths. Given this, the affected land boundaries shown on
these maps depict an area larger than the proposed 9.9 acre permit boundary. The pit area alone
on the Mining Plan and Reclamation Plan map depicts an area of about 10.02 acres without
including the access road acreage. Please revise these maps (Aerial Photo Map, Mining Plan
Map and Reclamation Plan Map)to show the revised permit boundary at the correct and
appropriate scale in accordance with Rule 6.2.1(2).
P
