6/5/2017
State.co.us Executive Branch Mail - Fwd: Bowie No. 1 Mine PR -05
(e)) require that the Division maintain adequate bond monies "to achieve compliance with the standards for revegetation
applicable to the pre -mining land -use..." This Rule ensures that, in the event the alternate post -mining land -use of
industrial or commercial is not achieved, the site will still be adequately reclaimed. This Rule also ensures that a viable
post -mining land -use is achieved regardless of who owns the property. Additionally, if PR -05 is approved, the Division
will not release any bond monies until the alternate post -mining land -use of industrial or commercial has been achieved.
This process includes application by BRL, notice to adjacent landowners, a site inspection and evaluation that may
include adjacent landowners, and public comment periods.
To access information and maps for the Bowie No. 1 Mine our website has a link to the public records.
http://mining.state.co.us.
