April 25, 2017 C-1980-004/McClane Canyon Mine JHB <br /> Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br /> Vegetation in the western portion of the permit area is good and greening up. A fair patch(approx. 40 ft. <br /> long by 25 feet wide) of Whitetop is present on the north side of the drainage from the storage area near the base <br /> of the canyon(near D-4 ditch). This noxious species needs to be control to minimize additional spread. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br /> Office and yard area are clean and in good condition. The office was locked and the inspector re-set the <br /> alarm upon leaving. Trash is contained and materials stored in the area are contained and tidy. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> The topsoil stockpile is signed appropriately and has adequate cover on the north and east side. The south <br /> side of the pile is limited to annual species. The pile is stable but the Division is concerned about potential <br /> invasion of noxious species.
