Reclamation of Exploration sites
All drill sites are scheduled to be reclaimed immediately after backfilling and
cementing, and the disturbed drill sites will be graded to the original levels with
rakes and shovels. All trash and other debris will be removed from the site.
Trenches and mud pits, if applicable, will be allowed to dry and then backfilled.
Salvaged topsoil will be replaced on the regraded site. The reclaimed sites will
be seeded during the first favorable seeding period following reclamation.
Revegetation
The following seed mixture will bE
ensure germination: Pryor Slender
and Sodar Streambank Wheatgras
pounds of PLS per acre for a total
acre.
6) Response to Rule 2.02.02(h)
hand broadcast and raked into the soil to
Wheatgrass, Rosana Western Wheatgrass,
3. Within the Trapper Mine Permit Document
Threatened and Endangered Species are addressed as follows:
For: Threatened and Endangered Species
Publications of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Jan. 17, 1979), and the
Colorado Division of Wildlife (1978 and 1980) were consulted to determine
threatened and endangered wildlife species that could occur on or adjacent to
the Trapper Mine mine plan area. In addition, a raptor nesting survey was
conducted for the mine plan area and adjacent area during May of 1980. Eco-
logy Consultants Inc. baseline data was also examined. There are no areas
within or adjacent to the proposed mine plan area that have been or are pending
designation as "essential habitat" for any of the threatened or endangered
species that could potentially occur there.
See Appendix B attached pages 2-141 through 2-143 excerpts from Trapper
Mine Permit
For: Threatened and Endangered Plant Species
Those plant species listed as threatened or endangered and known to occur in
Moffat County at elevations between 6500 feet and 8000 feet are listed in Table
2.3-24. The list of threatened or endangered species is based upon documents
received from the Bureau of Land Management District office, Craig, Colorado
(Appendix D) and the Plant Information Network (PIN) developed at Colorado
State University.
Of the seven total species thought to occur in Moffat County, only three could
occur within the elevation range which bounds the proposed mine plan area.
None of these have been encountered to date.
