MINING PLAN EXHIBIT C (CONT)
topsoil piles are shown in their approximate location on Map Exhibit
E-1 - Mining Plan Map.
Mining will begin on the eastern side of the mine site on
the existing face and work west into the hillside. Depending on
the material quality, the working face will extend across the
upper portions of the slope from north to south. We will create
a gently sloping floor that daylights out the north side and is
blended with the surrounding hillside. The working face will be
mined near vertical since the material will be loaded directly
into the haul trucks for delivery to the project. We expect he
deepest part to be on the south end of the working face were it
may be as deep as 20 feet and then taper to the original ground
level on the north. This will leave a 400 foot long and average
10 foot highwall that will be cut/fill graded when mining ends.
When mining is complete, we expect to leave the site sloped
to preserve the natural drainage similar to what now exists. Any
slopes along the perimeter of the mined area will be graded to a
minimum of 3h to lv if needed. The floor of the mine will be
graded so it blends with the surrounding land where it daylights
out the slope and the working face will be graded 3h to 1v or
less. When mining ends, the floor area will be graded and
resoiled prior to seeding. When done it will be returned to the
owners for use as rangeland.
Mining will be done by using front-end loaders, a track hoe
and dozers to remove the bank material and load it into haul
trucks for delivery to the job site. No processing will take
place on the site. The RECLAMATION MAP -E-2 shows how we think the
site will look when mining ends.
On-site equipment may include, but is not limited to, a
motor grader, front-end loaders, a track hoe, a dozer, dump
trucks and a water truck.
17
