Additionally, signs shall be retained and maintained until after the release of all bonds for the permit <br />area. Mine identification signs were inspected along the Highway 13 near the entrance of the ponds located <br />adjacent to the highway, at the entrance of the mine site from Highway 13 as well as were the permit boundary <br />crosses County Road 17. All information required by 4.02.2 was located on each mine identification sign <br />inspected. <br /> <br />Rule 4.02.3 requires the perimeter of the permit area for surface coal mining activities, or in t he case of <br />underground mining activities, the perimeter of all areas affected by surface operations or facilities, shall be <br />clearly marked before the beginning of surface coal mining operations. Numerous perimeter signs were observed <br />along the length of mine permit boundary. All signs were consistent and clearly labeling the mine boundary area. <br /> <br />Rule 4.02.6 requires all signs reading “Blasting Area” along the edge of any blasting area that comes within 50 <br />feet of any road within the permit area or within 1 00 feet of any public road right of way. Blasting signs were <br />inspected and meet all requirements of 4.02.6. No issues were observed. <br /> <br />All other sections of 4.02 were in compliance or not inspected during this inspection. All signs encountered on the <br />inspection met all rules required under 4.02. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
