There are no additional requirements for controlling or reporting List C noxious weeds in Moffat County. <br /> For more information on Moffat County's supported List C programs, refer to Attachment 3. <br /> D. "Watch List" Weeds <br /> In addition to the three rankings for noxious weeds,the State of Colorado also designates"Watch List" <br /> weed species. By definition(BCCR 1206-2.6.2),"Watch list species are species for which the <br /> Commissioner, in consultation with the state noxious weed advisory committee,local government,and <br /> other interested parties,has determined to pose a potential threat to the agricultural productivity and <br /> environmental values of the lands of the state.The Watch List is intended to serve advisory and <br /> education purposes only." <br /> In Moffat County,all landowners, land managers and commercial pesticide applicators shall report <br /> known infestations of Watch List species to the Moffat County Weed and Pest Department,as they are <br /> identified and where they are affecting rangeland and/or cropland production. It will be the <br /> responsibility of the Moffat County Weed and Pest Department to implement appropriate education <br /> and response protocols.Refer to the Attachment 3 for more information of Watch List response. <br /> IV. ACCEPTABLE MANAGEMENT METHODS <br /> A. Integrated Pest Management <br /> Noxious weeds should be managed using integrated management techniques that are appropriate for the <br /> phenology and location of the weed species of interest.See Attachment 7 for a species-specific summary of <br /> acceptable integrated treatment methods that are approved for use in Moffat County. <br /> B. Chemical Free Weed Management Guidelines <br /> Under section 35-5.5405(1)of the Colorado Noxious Weed Act,in regards to the powers of the County <br /> Commissioners,it is stated,"Guidelines may be included that address no pesticide noxious weed <br /> management plans". The following guidelines for chemical free management options do not excuse <br /> landowners or managers from managing noxious weeds per state objectives. <br /> Some landowners and managers may desire to use chemical-free or organic weed management options. <br /> Moffat County in cooperation with CSU Extension shall support chemical free management options by <br /> providing educational resources and chemical free weed management planning.See Attachment 3 for <br /> details. <br /> Chemical free weed management may be conducted by any landowner or land manager with no <br /> documented management plan or Chemical Free Management Agreement required, unless the weed <br /> infestation meets one or more of the following criteria: <br /> • is comprised of a List A species <br /> -5- <br />
