West Side Placer, File No. M-2016-081, Receipt of Hard Rack/Metal Mining Limited Impact <br />Operation (110(2)) Reclamation Permit Conversion Application Package (CN -1) <br />Dear Mr. Freedman: <br />On Monday, April 10, 2017, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety received the Hard Rock/Metal <br />Mining Limited Impact Operation (110(2)) Reclamation Permit Conversion Application (CN -1) package for <br />the West Side Placer, File No. M-2016-081. A preliminary review of the information received determined <br />that the following items must be received before the Division can consider the application submitted and <br />technical review can begin: <br />APPLICATION FORM: <br />(1) <br />Permit number should be M-2016-081 <br />(2) <br />Question #8 you have marked "In-situ". If this is an In-situ application then you cannot use the <br />110(2) application form and you will need us the application for a 110d. Based on information <br />provided and your response to question #14 we believe this is not an In-situ operation. The <br />operation described is placer mining which falls under surface mining. Please revise question #8 <br />to say surface. <br />(3) <br />Initials on page 5 must be hand written in blue ink, not typed. <br />Your application will not be considered filed until the information listed above is received and found <br />sufficient to begin our review. A decision date will be established 30 days from the date of receipt of all of <br />the requested information. At this time DO NOT begin newspaper publication. You will be notified under <br />separate cover when your application is considered filed and public notice can begin. <br />You have sixty (60) days from the above date to submit all necessary documents that the Office needs for <br />an application to be considered filed. If, at the end of the sixty day period, the application has not been <br />determined to be filed with the Office, the Office shall deny the application and terminate the application <br />file.
