Peter Freedman <br />April 14, 2017 <br />Page 3 <br />(1] <br />The purpose of the Reclamation Plan is to describe the timing, procedures, criteria and materials <br />that will be used to reclaim the affected land to the proposed future land use. This plan must be <br />correlated to Exhibit E - Map. The description of the Reclamation Plan must be adequate to <br />satisfy the requirements of Section 3.1 and demonstrate compliance with Rule 3. At a minimum, <br />the Application shall include the following information: <br />(a) <br />Specify at what point in the mining plan and to what depth(s) overburden will be replaced in <br />relation to ongoing extraction. <br />Explain use of contemporaneous reclamation in mining phases. State upon final completion of <br />project all other affected areas (ponds, roads, processing areas) will be reclaimed. <br />(11) Optional <br />Question #6 stated broadcast seeding method used, narrative states no -till seeder. No -till seeder <br />is considered drill method. Rates for seed mix are shown for drill seed application. <br />EXHIBIT E — Map <br />Please depict the currently approved permit boundary in addition to the proposed permit <br />boundary on the all maps. <br />(2) <br />Mining Plan Map <br />(a) <br />outline and label the permit boundaries, described in Exhibit A - Legal Description; for all 110 <br />and 110d Limited Impact Operations, the Office considers the area bounded by the permit <br />boundary to be analogous to the affected area; <br />Depict both the approved 110(1) permit boundary and the proposed 110(2) boundary <br />(d) <br />indicate the direction that mineral extraction will proceed; <br />Map depicts working north to south. Mining plan states working south to north. <br />(f) <br />outline and label existing disturbance within and/or adjacent to the permit boundary (e.g., <br />previously mined areas, roads or excavations resulting from utility construction). Re -disturbance <br />of previously disturbed areas, by the proposed mining operation, must be included in the permit <br />area and addressed in Exhibit D - Reclamation Plan. <br />Narrative box <br />Dimensions of strips to be worked in each mining phase is larger than 1 ac. Area depicted as <br />maximum disturbance is larger than 1.5 acres. Other box says strips will be limited to 1.5 acres. <br />See comments above in mining plan and revise to match plan and all narrative boxes match. <br />(3) <br />Reclamation Plan Map <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
