April 12, 2017 C-1992-081/Hayden Gulch Loadout JDM <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br />Loop Pond was holding a small pool of water at the time of the inspection, with no discharge noted. <br />Embankments were stable and well vegetated with no problems noted. <br /> Truck Loop Pond Rail Loop Pond <br /> <br />Ditches and culverts throughout the Loadout area and the Tie-Across Haul Road were stable and no problems <br />noted, with the exception of the following: <br /> <br />- As noted in the May 2017 Division inspection report ditch 7, ditch 8, and a portion of ditch 3 have been <br />compromised due to work on the rail loop. These ditches no longer flow to the rail loop pond due to <br />material being pushed into the ditches. Water has impounded behind the material and is not discharging to <br />the rail loop pond. Since the May 2017 Division inspection, a small channel has been dug out to allow a <br />small amount of flow from the impounded water to the rail loop pond. The ditches will need to be cleared <br />of material and reconstructed as designed per Exhibit 12-2 of the permit to flow to the rail loop pond. A <br />maintenance completion date of April 30, 2017 was noted. <br /> Area of Ditch Maintenance <br /> <br />- Culvert RRC-1 is no longer in place or is no longer functioning as designed. A small amount of flow was <br />noted under the rail bed; however, this flow is not substantial and water has been impounded on the east <br />side of the rail bed with no relief provided by the RRC-1 culvert. The RRC-1 culvert is designed to be 45
