The <br />inspection was completed by Clayton Wein of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (the Division). <br />Basil Bear of Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) was present for the inspection on March 29, 2017. The weather on <br />March 28, 2017 was cloudy with intermitant rain. The temperature was about 40 degrees Farenheight. The <br />ground conditions were wet. The weather conditions on March 29, 2017 were sunny with a temperature in the <br />high 40’s. The ground conditions were damp in some areas. The loadout for the Bowie No. 1 Mine contues to <br />serve as a lay-down area for equipment from the Bowie No. 2 Mine. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> The records for the Bowie No. 1 Mine are kept with Basil Bear at the office of the Bowie No. 2 Mine. <br />The records check was completed on March 28, 2017. The records were in good condition and well kept. Please <br />see the Availability of Records form attached to the end of this report for more information. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />- The ponds at the loadout are in good repair and functioning as designed. The ponds were dry at the time of the <br />inspection. There were no erosional issues noted (Photo 1). <br /> <br />- At the West mine there are two ponds, W-1 and W-2. During the inspection both ponds were dry. The <br />embankments of the ponds were well vegetated and stable. There were no indications of erosion. <br /> <br />- The ROM Pile Pond was dry. The embankments of the pond were stable and no issues were noted. <br />
