Jennifer Lindahl, P.E. Page 3 of 8
Bromley Lakes SWSP
April 3, 2017

• specific yield = 0.2;
• distance from the stream to the alluvial boundary = 5,300 feet
• transmissivity = 100,000 gallons per day per foot;
• distance from the centroid of the exposed ground water to the stream = 1,016 feet.

The distance to the alluvial boundary is based on the Applicant’s analysis of geologic cross sections showing
that the alluvium is pinched at approximately the railroad east of the site.

The Applicant wrapped the remaining 5% tail of the depletions into the previous months. The depletions
factors for the areas west and east of the McCanne Ditch are shown in the following table:

Bromley Site Depletion Factors

The projected lagged depletions that are expected to hit the river during the period of this SWSP total 50.2
acre-feet. This value includes depletions from past activity that hit the river during this timeframe, including
the replacement of lagged depletions from dewatering activities.

Replacements

The replacement sources for this SWSP include the following:

• Consumptive use portion of RMCC’s 5 Fulton Ditch shares.
• Consumptive use credits from the Fulton Ditch shares previously stored in City of Brighton storage
(Kenneth Mitchell Lake, Erger’s Pond or 124th Storage Pond).
• Water lease with the City of Brighton for up to 150 acre-feet per year.

For this SWSP request the Historic Consumptive Use (“HCU”) analysis for the 5 Fulton Ditch shares used on
Arends Farm was extracted and modified from the HCU analysis presented in the June 2010 engineering
report (“Report”) for case no. 2009CW279. Based on the detailed reviewed of the HCU analysis in case no.
2009CW279 you have concluded that the methodology used is adequate to support the site-specific analysis
required for this SWSP, with the following modifications.

RMCC’s 5 Fulton Ditch shares were historically used on the Arends Farm along with 25 other Fulton Ditch
shares. The 25 shares were changed by Castle Pines North in case no. 2009CW279. The decreed in case no.
2009CW279 actually changed the use of 105 Fulton Ditch shares. The five shares used on the Arends Farm
were part of the original HCU analysis performed for case no. 2009CW279, from 1950 through 1985, but were
not changed. In 1986 the 5 shares were sold to Henderson Aggregate.
