Bench Top Study <br /> Because Aggregate Industries may desire to start reclamation activities prior to two full years of <br /> the test plots, a bench top study will also be conducted as part of year 1 activities. The purpose <br /> of the study is to supplement field plots information. By growing indoors, faster germination and <br /> vegetative growth can be achieve. The bench top study allows: <br /> • Comparison of treatment performance <br /> • Assessment of plant germination success and plant vigor over time <br /> • Assessment of treatment media to determine potential deficiencies and amendment <br /> needs <br /> The following steps will be followed: <br /> • Set up bench scale study using 5-gallon buckets. Use treatments (T1 through T4) listed <br /> in Table 1.
