Reclamation Plan-Amendment Exhibit E is List of Preferred Species of Grass Legumes Forbs Shrubs or Trees to be planted A reclamation grass seed mix approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture,Natural Resource Conser- vation Service is summarized on Table E-1, Section 6.4.5(2)(f)(ii). Shrubs and tree species to be planted are summarized on Table E-2, Section 6.4.5(2)(f)(iv). Method and Rates of Seeding and Planting Shrubs and trees will be transplanted by hand into prepared holes at approximate 10 foot centers. Seed will be broadcast by hand or hydro seed methods may be used. Rate of broadcast for seed will be ap- proximately 10.4 pounds per acre(PLS)(Table E-1, Section 6.4.5(2)(f)(ii)). Trees and shrubs will be planted first and followed by the application of mulch and seeds. Estimated Availability of Viable Seeds in Sufficient Quantities of Proposed Species The seed mix specified in Table E-1 is commercially available. Proposed Time of Seeding and Planting Seeding and planting will be conducted during the fall season-September through October.Planting will be conducted in advance of expected frost dates to allow time for root establishment. 6.4.5(2)(e) Schedule The schedule for reclamation will be tied to active and closure mining activities. 6.4.5(2)(e)(i)Approximate time period of reclamation for mine phases Reclamation closure activities will commence at the end of the life-of-mine.
