Reclamation Plan-Amendment <br /> Exhibit E is <br /> List of Preferred Species of Grass Legumes Forbs Shrubs or Trees to be planted <br /> A reclamation grass seed mix approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture,Natural Resource Conser- <br /> vation Service is summarized on Table E-1, Section 6.4.5(2)(f)(ii). Shrubs and tree species to be planted <br /> are summarized on Table E-2, Section 6.4.5(2)(f)(iv). <br /> Method and Rates of Seeding and Planting <br /> Shrubs and trees will be transplanted by hand into prepared holes at approximate 10 foot centers. Seed <br /> will be broadcast by hand or hydro seed methods may be used. Rate of broadcast for seed will be ap- <br /> proximately 10.4 pounds per acre(PLS)(Table E-1, Section 6.4.5(2)(f)(ii)). Trees and shrubs will be <br /> planted first and followed by the application of mulch and seeds. <br /> Estimated Availability of Viable Seeds in Sufficient Quantities of Proposed Species <br /> The seed mix specified in Table E-1 is commercially available. <br /> Proposed Time of Seeding and Planting <br /> Seeding and planting will be conducted during the fall season-September through October.Planting will <br /> be conducted in advance of expected frost dates to allow time for root establishment. <br /> 6.4.5(2)(e) Schedule <br /> The schedule for reclamation will be tied to active and closure mining activities. <br /> 6.4.5(2)(e)(i)Approximate time period of reclamation for mine phases <br /> Reclamation closure activities will commence at the end of the life-of-mine. Grading, seeding,and plant- <br /> ing activities will commence as season and weather permits(i.e., snow and frost free periods). <br /> 6.4.5(2)(e)00 Size and location of each area to be reclaimed during each phase <br /> Surface disturbances will be limited to areas depicted on Exhibit D,Figure D-1 including: <br /> • May Day No. 1 bench-Run of Mine Rock; <br /> • May Day No. 1 East <br /> • May Day No. 2 bench-Run of Mine Rock; <br /> • May Day No. 2 East <br /> • May Day 3 <br /> • Chief Manway <br /> • Idaho <br /> • Base of Operations and <br /> • Roads <br /> 112d Permit <br /> May Day Idaho Mine Complex <br /> Revised March 8,2017 <br /> Exhibit E—Rule 6.4.5 Page 5 of 7 <br />
