M-1993-030
Prepared: 20 March 2017
Summary:
No mechanized equipment was operated on Crystaljack mining properties during 2016. Hand
digging and prospecting and claim maintenance was carried out between 6 June and 3 Nov 2016.
Illegal digging is occurring on the Two Point claim and Qui-Buc No. S adjacent to roads. A total
of three claims of the original three claims have been sold. This reclamation permit does not
cover any sites that were on those three claims: Free Hawk, C & J No. 1, and C & J No. 2
Inspections
On 9 June, both the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Tim and Elliot), and the U. S.
Forest Service (Anthony and Amy) accompanied me to inspect sites on Crystaljack claims. Sites
were considered reclaimed and revegetated, including sites on the Ute, which were the most
recent digs. Also inspected sites on Two Point and several of the Qui-Buc claims.
Map Depicting Operations:
No changes have been made to permitted sites. All sites are reclaimed and revegetated with good
growth.
Current Disturbances (2016):
All dig sites on Crystaljack properties have been reclaimed except for access roads and proposed
dig sites.
Reclamation Summary (Includes 2016 Reclamation):
Since this project began in 1993, approximately 4.89 acres have been excavated and reclaimed.
All newly reclaimed sites have been reseeded the same season.
