continue to be mixed in the same manner and ratio as currently approved in the permit and placed in
Squaw Gulch Valley Leach facility (SGVLF). Newfields has been engaged by CC&V to evaluate the
impacts, if any, the unagglomerated tailings have on the geotechnical stability of SGVLF. The Newfields
geotechnical stability analysis memo has been included as Attachment 4, which demonstrates that the
SGVLF is stable with the unagglomerated tailings.
To accommodate an increase in traffic around the HGM, a portion of the pad will be extended to the west
and the south, thus widening the road around the southwestern corner of the HGM. Approximately 4,500
cubic yards of fill will be placed on the out slopes of the HGM pad to extend the flat portion of the pad
approximately 15 feet in some areas. Construction of the pad will be done in the same manner as the
previous pad construction, with all slopes graded to 21-1:1 V,2.5H:IV, or flatter.
The construction of the concentrate storage building will have very little impact on existing infrastructure
around the HGM. Whilst there are a few buried utilities; water and electrical reticulation may have to be
relocated to the west to prevent limiting access by the construction of the concentrate storage building.
Construction of the Truck Scale and Transport Movements
Once loaded, the trucks will proceed to a new truck scale to be weighed prior to departing site via the
Ironclad access.
The Truck scale will be installed north of the midway fuel island, directly off the side of an existing light
vehicle road (please see attached drawing 20-647-010 within Attachment 1). The truck scale will be
constructed on a reinforced concrete foundation and will be 12 feet wide and 70 feet long, with utilities to
be supplied from the fuel island.
CC&V anticipates that the concentrate will be shipped off site for the foreseeable future.
Modifications to the Approved reclamation Plan
CC&V has determined TR-89 will have a minor impact on the approved reclamation plan; there will be
additional structures and a conveyor requiring demolition during final reclamation. The HGM and
surrounding area will still be reclaimed as described in the approved reclamation plan. The additional cost
to demolish the concentrate stockpile facility, conveyor, and truck scale are included in the next section
below.
CC&V used portions of the 2017 RS Means costs to calculate the increase in reclamation cost. The table
below contains a reclamation cost estimation to reflect the additional reclamation liability incurred by the
State. All costs include equipment and labor. With the approval of TR-89 the required financial warranty
will be increased by$80,875.97 or what the State determines to be the increase in reclamation liability.
