g. During mining operations a minimum slope of 3H:1 V will be
maintained by pushing material uphill and loading from the top of the
affected area.
h. There will be not fuel storage tanks used in the proposed pit area. Fuel
will be brought in daily for any machines being used in the pit area.
i. There will be no setback from the north edge of the permitted area.
3. There would appear to be no waste rock or material at the site.
4. The original pit opened was accessed with a northward extension of Co. Rd. LL
to Surveyor Creek. With the amendment filed in 2013, access moved to the
east, directly south of the new area of mining focus. This roadway was
approved by the landowner and is to remain intact as the pit is closed for her
future use.
5. There will be no shop, plant, or other facilities located at the mine site. The
equipment used to mine the gravel will be primarily a front-end loader and
trucks. A bulldozer and a scraper may be employed.
5. No water is anticipated in conjunction with the operation. There could be
instances when heavy rainfall makes the site too wet to continue. At those
times, mining will simply cease until the site becomes dry enough to mine
again.
7. Mining will not go into the groundwater at the site.
8. Since no water is to be used, there should be no injury to existing water rights.
9. No refuse, acid, or toxic producing materials are anticipated at the site. Other
mining enterprises in this part of Washington County have never yielded any
such materials.
10. The commodities to be mined are gravel, clay, and sand.
11. No explosives will be used in this operation.
