Section 02100 Site Clearing, Grubbing, Topsoil Stripping and Stockpiling <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. Clearing of trees, shrubs, and other plant life. <br />B. Grubbing of root systems of trees, shrubs, and other plant life. <br />C. Removal and disposal of waste materials not suitable for burning on site. <br />D. Piling of waste materials suitable for burning on site. <br />E. Topsoil stripping and stockpiling. <br />F. Protection of topsoil stockpiles. <br />1.2 RELATED SECTIONS <br />A. Section 02210 —Erosion and Sediment Controls <br />PART 2 — PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MATERIALS <br />A. Topsoil: Topsoil is derived from natural soil deposits from presently undisturbed areas to <br />be excavated or re -graded, and comprising friable loamy surface soil found at a depth of <br />not less than 4 inches. Satisfactory topsoil is reasonably free of clay lumps, stones, large <br />wood pieces or roots, and other objects over 2 inches in diameter; and other objectionable <br />material. <br />PART 3 — EXECUTION <br />3.1 PREPARATION <br />A. Provide erosion and sediment control measures to prevent erosion or displacement of <br />soils and discharge of sediment -laden water runoff in accordance with Section 02210. <br />B. Protect existing trees and other vegetation indicated to remain. <br />C.
