Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and safety:
#1 Legal description is in the building permit. The cabin location is 20 miles west of Walden,CO.
#2 The site is on privately owned ground.
#3 The type of material in the rocky knob is quartz monzonite.
#4 The type of extraction used was a track hoe, loader and dump trucks.
#5 The material was used on site for fill and road repair. All over sized material was hauled off site to
open the area for a cabin to be built on solid ground.
#6 The extracted material was used for fill and road repair.
#7 The material was hauled to Wyatt Redi-Mix Property for fill, water barriers or rip rap for dams. At
the same time top soil was hauled from Wyatt Redi-Mix to start filling a hole created in the 1950's that
rip-raped Lake John.
#8 The approximate area is 150 feet by 150 feet or approximately%acre.
#9 The approximate depth will be 25 feet so as to hide the cabin from any view except from the air.
#10 The approximate yards will be around 13,000 with approximately 3000 yards of top soil being
placed on the rock face for safety and vegetation.
#11 Explosives will not be used at this time.
#12 There will be no exposure to ground water.
#13 Hopefully the land owners will receive some type of compensation because we are out a lot of
money for a cabin location at this time.
#14 Building permit is attached.
#15 Yes,documentation is attached.
#16 There are no state, federal or local agency helping with funding or design.
#17 The only post mining uses for this site will be for a cabin with a beautiful view of approximately 70
per cent of Sheep Mountain.
#18 The type and size of equipment used was a 220 excavator,a 120e loader,20 yard belly and side
dump and 12 yard dump truck.
