t,j, = ((0.9 x technical standard) — Mean) / (s / 4n)
t«,, = (48.12 — 47.09) / (12.70 / q32) = 0.461
Since critical t,b,e = 1.309 (one -tailed, alpha = 0.1, 32-1 do exceeds tcac (0.461), the hypothesis of
no difference is supported and reclamation success for BRB PSCM-2 cover under Phase III in
2014 is demonstrated.
Successful revegetation for the parameter of cover was demonstrated in both 2012 and
2014.
Production. The PSCM herbaceous production standard and success evaluation is also based on
the weight averaged value for current annual herbaceous production derived from sampling in
the approved PSCM sagebrush and mountain brush reference areas. The weighting contribution
is mountain brush 83% and sagebrush 17%. Based on the production sampling an allowable
herbaceous production value is determined by excluding noxious weeds in production sampling
and allowing no more than 10% relative production of annual/biennial weeds. These exclusions
and the weight averaging determines the allowable herbaceous production standard.
Table 3. 2012 and 2014 Data and Sample Adequacy Summary for Total and Allowable
Herbaceous Production (pounds/acre), Phase III BRB PSCM-2.
Note: s, N, Nn. and t based on allowable herbaceous production data
Total
Allowable
Vegetation Type
Herbaceous
Herbaceous
s
N
N,,,;,,
t
Production
Production
Phase III Bond
Release
847.6
847.6
647.7
35
100
1.307
BRB PSCM-2 2012
Phase III Bond
Release
1696.9
1687.1
899.13
32
49
1.309
BRB PSCM-2 2014
Note: s, N, Nn. and t based on allowable herbaceous production data
