Ground Water Barrier Material <br /> 1. Soil Classification <br /> a. GC-clayey gravels,gravel-sand-clay mixtures. <br /> b. SC-clayey sands,sand-clay mixtures. <br /> C. CL - inorganic clays of low to medium plasticity, gravelly clays, <br /> sandy clays,silty clays,clean clays. <br /> d. Material shall not be lumpy or hard but shall be finely divided, <br /> suitable, and free from stones. <br /> 2. Or flow fill. <br /> 2.04 TRENCH BACKFILL MATERIAL <br /> A. Trench backfill material shall be placed from the top of the pipe to six-inches (6") <br /> below the ground surface,or bottom of topsoil layer,or to the bottom of the pavement ; <br /> subgrade,whichever is applicable. <br /> B. Trench backfill material shall be soil free from any rocks or stones which are larger <br /> than six-inches(6"),in any dimension. <br /> 1.
