projected final grading limits for the postmining areas. All truck traffic will be routed to enter
the pits at an upper elevation and leave the pits at a lower elevation. Most of the haulage roads
will be built prior to the time mining commences and they will be reclaimed as the roads are
mined out or are no longer needed.
Some of the haulage roads will be extended through the spoil and road construction will progress
with the mining activity. Final reclamation of these roads will occur at the end of the life of the
mine.
Haul roads beyond the limit of mining will be located on ridges or on the most stable available
slopes to minimize erosion. No haul road will be located in the channel of an ephemeral stream
which has a watershed of at least one square mile, on intermittent or perennial stream unless
specifically approved by the Division. All stream crossings will be made using culverts. Haul
roads will be located and designed to minimize downstream sedimentation and flooding.
PR-06 16 Revised 10 /11
