SECTION V- BONDING SUMMARY
Reclamation costs were recalculated as part of the Midterm Review (MT7), process. The reclamation cost
estimate generated by the Division on 6 December 2016 noted that the cost to fully reclaim the remaining
disturbance is $41,961.67. A Phase III bond release (SL6) for the majority of the disturbed area was approved on
August 26, 2008. The approved bond amount to be held by the Division as a result of SL -06 was $72,099.00 and
that bond amount is the amount currently held by the Division. This bond amount is statutorily limited by Rule
3.03.1(2) and far exceeds any amount of bond that might be required should reclamation efforts at the reclaimed
NW -1 ventilation shaft fail. The updated cost estimate (attached) for the Golden Eagle Mine no longer includes
the cost to reclaim five water monitoring wells. The transfers were accomplished via PR02 for the New Elk Mine
(C1981013), and TR57 for the Golden Eagle Mine (1981012).
The Division currently holds a wire transfer cash bond in the amount of $72,099.00.
Golden Eagle MT7 December 2016 Prepared by: R. Reilley
