d2 CAD Consulting, LLC
CCWRE
EXHIBIT L
RECLAMATION COSTS
A significant portion of the area found in the original 2001 Permit has been either reclaimed, mitigated,
or will remain in agricultural use, and has therefore been released from the Permit. The letter authorizing
the reduction is attached. The 92.9-acre area remaining in the Permit is shown on Exhibits F-1 and F-1.1,
Reclamation Plan, is owned by Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc. (LRM) and Croissant Family Farms, LLC
(CFF). The 48.0-acre area owned by LRM in which the existing batch plant and processing facilities are
located is to remain in this post-mining use in perpetuity. On the 44.9-acre parcel owned by CFF,the
remaining resource in Cell 4 will continue to be mined and concurrently reclaimed.
This batch plant and sand and gravel mining and processing use on the LRM parcel has been established
for about 15 years. Cells 1, 2, and 3 have been mined out and reclaimed. Cells 1 and 2 are in continuing
use as part of the batch plant and processing facilities. Cell 3 has been reclaimed as a wildlife pond. The
location of these areas and the cells are shown in Exhibits F and F-1.1, Reclamation Plan.
On the LRM property, Cell 1 will continue in its present configuration as a water supply pond for the batch
plant and processing facilities. Cell 2 will continue to be filled with processing fines and returned
concrete. Given the LRM property established and final land use as a concrete batch plant, ancillary
facilities, and Cell 3 as a wildlife pond and pasture, reclamation has essentially been completed.
However, a pipeline contractor may have caused a weed infestation on a small area between Cell 3 and
Cell 4. The reclamation costs shown in this exhibit include reclamation of this area, if necessary.
The 44.9-acre area owned by CFF is leased by LRM and contains a sand and gravel pit (Cell 4) currently
being mined and undergoing concurrent reclamation. Reclamation is being completed by in-house labor
and equipment using on-site materials and is approximately 25%complete. Cell 4 will be reclaimed as a
wildlife pond and pasture/rangeland. Once Cell 4 is depleted, no further mining is anticipated on this site.
An estimate of the total reclamation costs for Cell 4 and the remaining CFF property is provided in Table
L, Cost Summary Work.
APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO LOVELAND READY MIX,INC
REGULAR 112 PERMIT NO. M-2001-022 GREEN/CROISSANT SAND AND GRAVEL MINE
AMND 21 OF 39
