C)r
MOPMOMTransit Mix Concrete Co. RPM,Inc.
The maximum elevation of waste material will be at least five feet below the crest of the
embankment.
(c) a signed affidavit certifying that the material is clean and inert,
as defined in Rule 1.1(20);
Not applicable since the new pond is a continuation of an already approved activity.
(d) the approximate dates the proposed activity will commence
and end,..;
The proposed activity will begin as soon as the existing fines waste pond is at it design capacity.
The life of the new pond is expected to be from 5 to 10 years, dependent upon production needs.
(e) an explanation of how the backfilled site will result in a post-
mining configuration that is compatible with the approved post-mining land use; and
The post mining land use will be wildlife habitat. Filling the depression to any elevation, along
with regrading of the pond side to the approved slopes, will result in an area that is consistent
with the proposed post mining land use wildlife habitat.
(f) a general engineering plan stating how the material will be
placed and stabilized in a manner to avoid unacceptable settling and voids.
This provision is not applicable to the backfilling of the wash fines disposal pond. The material
will be in slurry and will settle into the pond, behind the pond embankment.
(10) All mined material to be disposed of within the affected area must be
handled in such a manner so as to prevent any unauthorized release of pollutants to the
surface drainage system:
This provision is not applicable. The wash fines will be delivered in a slurry pipeline, as
currently approved. The slurry will be placed into the pond. Therefore, no unauthorized release
of pollutants should occur.
7
