S.Weed Control
This entire section has been deleted and replaced with the following:
Prior to topsoil replacement, remove or treat any existing noxious or invasive species, including
tamarisk around the lake shorelines. The area north of the eastern lake will be a problem location due
to a bad infestation of bindweed, which is difficult to control but necessary for revegetation success.
After planting of the Seed Mix,any noxious weed issues should be addressed by spot-spraying
treatments and not all annual weeds are a concern as the perennial mix will dominate the site over
time.
6.Revegetation Success Criteria
It is suggested that revegetation should be deemed successful when the following areas meet the
specifications below:
1) dryland agricultural(rangeland) areas should have a live aerial cover of 45%60%not including annual
species, weeds and litter.Vegetation in the reclaimed area is at least equal in extent of cover to the
natural vegetation of the site. Pfeductivity should be 1000 lbs per acFe of airdriedvegetat4e+i,
2) wetian shelf aFear,setrld ,
We#and specie u
ac4e-Gf-air-&ied-vegetatiGn:
The revegetated areas will be monitored for success of reclamation until accepted by the Division. If
revegetation failures occur prior to release, and analysis of the site will be made and the area will be
revegetated again as necessary.
7. Monitoring Reclamation Success
Monitoring the reclamation on an ongoing basis will allow minor revisions to assure successful
reclamation.Tie-epefatef-94a in deteFffl+riieg-the-
perennial cover 'reed land. If minor changes or modifications are needed to the seeding and
reclamation plan, revision plans will be submitted to the Division as required, It is hoped that the areas
disturbed and reclaimed and any other important items regarding the reclamation will be submitted in
the annual reports to the division.
8.Environmental Protection Measures Employed by the Operation
Mitigation measures taken by the operator area listed below:
1. No more than ''41 2 a°o 463.2 acres of the site will be disturbed at any given time.
2.
