October 13, 2016 C-2009-087/Peabody Sage Creek Mine JLE <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br /> <br /> Remove and/or otherw ise treat the tamarisk trees that have established within this seep area. <br />o PSCM would like to wait until the spring to cut and treat the tamarisk trees established. <br /> Culvert SC-27 is about half full of sediment at the inlet and will need to be cleaned. <br />o This item remains outstanding. <br /> The disturbance boundary markers at the southern end of the disturbed area have been knocked down by <br />cattle. <br />o This item remains outstanding. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03, Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6), Rec lamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />T he mine access and haul roads were graded and maintained. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />T here are no bond release applications under consid eration at this time. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The reclaimed Seneca II watershed surrounding the SII -PM11, PM6 and PM20 drainages were observed. These <br />areas were vegetated. Some rills were observed above stock tank T32. PSC M will need to continue to monitor <br />these rill to see if vegetation continues to stabilize these rills. <br /> <br />The reclaimed Solid Waste Disposal Area was observed. The area appears vegetated and stab le. <br /> <br />SUBSIDENCE – Rule 4.20: <br />The mine is currently idle. <br /> <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />The slide above the portals was observed. It does not appear the slide has moved significantly since the last <br />inspection. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The old shop area, portal facilities, old bone yard area and mine off ice was observed and no problems were noted. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br />The mine identification signs were in place. <br />
