October 12, 2016 C-1982-056/Foidel Creek Mine JLE <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> <br /> Page 10 of 14 <br /> <br />The old 18RT pad area was observed. The area is stable and vegetated and no problems were observed. The <br />access road to the pad was graded and maintained. <br /> <br />The 7 North Escape Shaft/Barricade Chamber area is stable. The erosion repair work appears to be holding up. <br /> <br />The Fish Creek Borehole site was observed. The area appeared stable and maintained. The coal fines cleanup <br />area was observed and no problems were noted. <br /> <br />The 15LT Borehole pad was stable and the fines from the cleanup operation from the adjacent Fish Creek <br />Borehole are piled within a berm on the pad. Th e out-slope of the pad had a fairly significant stand of thistle <br />established, it appears this area was treated with a herbicide. <br /> <br />The WMD stabilization pad was s table and the topsoil stockpile is marked. <br /> <br />The 16LT pad was observed, the area was stable and the drainages were functional. The topsoil stockpile was <br />stable and marked. The diversion was clear and functional. <br /> <br />The 19RT dewatering borehole area was observed. The well is in place, the surrounding area is graded and <br />revegetated. <br /> <br />The 18LT ventilation pad area was observed and no problems were noted. The topsoil stockpile was vegetated <br />and stable. <br /> <br />The waste water treatment ponds were holding water. The embankments of the ponds were stable. There is a clog <br />in a pipe between two of the ponds that will need to be cleared. Mr. Watterson indicated that he had a plumber <br />scheduled to snake the pipe to remove the clog. <br /> <br />The equipment laydown area southwest of Pond G was observed. TC has placed equipment very close to topsoil <br />stockpile SF-16. TC should exercise caution so that this topsoil pile will not be disturbed. <br /> <br />The explosives storage area was observed and no problems were noted. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br />The mine entrance signs were in place. The entrance sign where the permit boundary crosses County Road 37 has <br />the incorrect permit number listed on the sign. <br /> Please correct the permit number on the mine entrance sign where the permit bou ndary crosses County <br />Road 37.
