September 21, 2016 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine TNL <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> <br /> Page 4 of 8 <br /> <br />Industrial Waste Pond W/D Erosion and trash noted from runoff <br />from road into pond <br />Impoundment H <br />W (puddle) <br />no erosion, good dissipation of <br />energy from culvert in compliance <br />w/ Rule 4.05 <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Draglines were not operating at the time of inspection. Deacon / Jeffway temporary diversion was in the <br />process of being constructed. The ash disposal area was observed and no issues were noted. The operator had an <br />area staked for topsoil lay down in the ash disposal area. This area was checked by the Division for cover material <br />depth during the August inspection. Topsoil stripping and overburden removal are progressing east of the active <br />pit. Four exploration drill pads were observed within the permit area on native ground. These pads had been <br />reclaims and needed to be seeded. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) <br />Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) <br />Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> Roads were in good condition at the time of inspection, operator is working on construction of a new haul <br />road. <br /> <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br /> The slide has been mined through. Surficial cracking above horse fill had recently been repaired <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> Shop area and tanks observed, no problems were noted. <br /> <br />TOPSOIL – Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> New topsoil has been placed on Z-pit reclaim and on K parcels. Material was primarily pulled from topsoil <br />piles G102 and AET1. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE <br /> <br />No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending.
