Environment, Inc. Page 2
Lakewood Brick and Tile Co. -Church Pit M-1979-045
October 5, 2016
We understand this requirement and will take the appropriate action to
resolve the conflict with the approved Reclamation Plan prior to final
reclamation release.
3. The Division has enclosed the revised financial warranty estimate for the Church Pit with this letter. Please
review the enclosed figures for accuracy. Pursuant to Rule 4.2.1 (2), the Division will provide notice of a surety
increase under separate cover. The Reclamation Plan Map contains labels for the final grade of the west and
east slopes of the pit. Please revise the map to include labels for the final grade of the north and south slopes.
Thanks you for taking the time to put new numbers on the Reclamation Cost .
After review of your estimate it appears the biggest reason for the bond
increase is due to the cost of inflation on Revegetating the site. We will
wait for the surety increase notice packet and will begin to explore options
for posting the increase so the surety is updated.
My copy of the Reclamation Plan Map has labels on most of the slopes but I
have attached a revised map where slope labeling was added around the mined
area and I added the following text "NOTE:ALL FINAL RECLAIMED SLOPES WILL BE GRADED 3H TO 1V". to
the map.
If you have more questions or need more information please call me.
Sincerely,
Environment, Inc.
Stevan L.
