5. Teller County also understands this is an interim measure only until the completion of the Phase
II liner which is expected in the third quarter of 2020. Upon completion of the Phase 11 liner haul
truck traffic will be able to completely travel over liner when operating in the SGVLF footprint
and no off liner haulage will occur.
6. Teller County understands that CC&V is asserting that this proposal to allow haul truck traffic to
drive over 6,600 unlined feet of haul road has"extremely low environmental risk, particularly
when coupled with the continuation of approved spill response and decontamination procedures.
7. Teller County acknowledges that the proposed routes and facilities are all on land owned by
CC&V and are inside the Amendment 10 boundary and that no additional burden of any kind will
be placed on Teller County.
8. Teller County recognizes that State and Federal agencies have programs in place to permit,
inspect, and enforce requirements at mining operations to assure protection of the environmental
resources associated with such mining operations. As such, if DRIVIS approves this TR as
outlined,to include an approved Spill Response Plan and an approved Decontamination Plan,
Teller County will have no objections to the DRMS required Technical Revision TR-83. If
however, DRMS disapproves this request,we would request you contact us.
9. Teller County does however, request to be informed by either CC&V or DRIVIS or both should an
off-liner incident occur to include mitigation efforts and their success in order to insure and
inform the health, welfare, and safety of our citizens.
If you have any questions, please contact me at(719)686-5414 or email williamsd(a?co.teller co us.
Respectfu ,
O
Dan Williams, Teller County Planner
Cc:Lynda Morgan, CDSD Director
Tim Cazier, DBMS
