The purpose of this inspection was to <br />ensure CAM Mining, LLC is in compliance with its permit and more specifically, Rule 4.05.18 - Stream Buffer <br />Zones. No company representative was present at the mine site and accompanied DRMS and OSM in the <br />inspection. Weather conditions were clear and the temperature around eighty five degrees fahrenheit with ground <br />conditions dry. There was no activity at the mine site at the time of the inspection. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Stream buffer zones are defined in the Rule 4.05.18 as “land within 100 feet, or greater distance if required by the <br />Division, of a perennial stream, an intermittent stream, or an ephemeral stream with a drainage area greater than <br />one square mile.” Specifically, this inspection focused on examining the disturbance that is approved in <br />accordance with Rule 4.05.18, and whether it was constructed in that approved manner. <br /> <br />The silt fence located below reclaimed topsoil footprint has fallen down and is need of maintenance. <br /> <br />
