(TC) DRMS permit <br />No. C-1982-056. I, J ared Ebert of the Colorado Division of Reclamat ion, Mining and Safety (Division) conducted <br />the inspection. Mr. Brian Watterson with TC accompanied me during the inspection. The weather was clear and <br />warm during the inspection. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Pond E was holding water but was not discharging. A delta of material has formed on the 1 st cell near the pond <br />inlet. Mr. Watterson indicated that TC is planning to clean out this pond in the near future. The primary and <br />emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br /> <br />Pond D was discharging, the embankment was stable and the primary and emergenc y spillway appeared clear and <br />functional. <br /> <br />Pond C was observed. The eastern portion of the embankment has sparse vegetation established. According to Mr. <br />Watterson, TC plans to have the embankment raked and re-seeded in this location. The bottom of the po nd was <br />moist but the pond was not discharging. The primary and emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br />Pond T was discharging a small trickle of water out of the v -notch weir but water was not likely reaching Foidel <br />Creek which is about 550 feet wes t of the discharge point. Cattails and other grassy vegetation has grown around <br />the inlet of the primary spillway. The emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br /> <br /> Please cut back the cattails and vegetation surrounding the primary spillway at Pond T. <br />The Area 1 Pond was holding water and discharging into Pond D. <br /> <br />Pond B was discharging. The embankment was stable and the primary and emergency spillway was clear and <br />functional. TC recently cleaned out the upper cell of Pond B.
