C-1982-056, operated by Twentymile <br />Coal, LLC. (TC). I, Jared Ebert of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) <br />conducted the inspection. Mr. Brian Watterson with TC accompanied me during the inspection. The weather was <br />partly cloudy to clear and warm. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Site 115 at the Fish Creek Borehole was not discharging at the time of the inspection. <br /> <br />Pond F was not discharging at the time of the inspection. The pond was holding water and the embankment was <br />stable and vegetated. The primary and emergency spillways were clear and functional. TC has scheduled to add <br />additional cement around the flume. <br /> <br />Pond G was not discharging at the time of the inspection. The pond was holding water and the embankment was <br />stable and vegetated. The primary and emergency spillways were clear and functional. <br /> <br />Pond B was discharging. The embankment was stable and vegetated. The spillway was clear and functional. TC <br />recently cleaned out the 2nd cell with a backhoe. <br /> <br />The ditch leading to Pond T was stable and the repairs seem to be holding. <br /> <br />A small trickle of water was discharging at Pond T. The pond embankment was stable and vegetated. The <br />primary spillway was functional but cattails have grown around it that may need to be trimmed back. The <br />emergency spillway was clear and functional.
