08-12-16; 21 : 1% ; EXHIBIT 15- 24 51025 n 5/ 10
Rule 6.3.4
Reclamation Plan
4. Visibility at local events--speakers, handouts, displays, etc
5. Promotion of the Weed Free Hay Program
B. Inventory and Mapping--This ongoing process involves identifying the
species, location, and size of known weed infestations over the entire
county land area. The County GIS will be the repository of all this
information. The county inventory will..be updated yearly and will
integrate with statewide weed inventory..and mapping efforts.
C. Control— On the ground treatments will take place on any public lands on
a priority basis, To avoid competition with private industry, actual
treatments of weed infestations on private lands will be referred to local
commercial applicators.. However, the Weed Coordinator will be
available to assist all landowner in inventory, mapping, planning,
consulting, and in assuring compliance with state weed laws.
D. Enforcement—The Jackson County Weed 1ldanagement Project is
committed to congenially working together with any landowner toward
the goal of eliminating noxious weeds. The Jackson County Weed Project
Yill be facilitative and not confrontational. A weed problem on one parcel
of land will soon be a problem for the neighboring lands. Left unattended,
the infestation will soon become a problem for all area landowners. If a
noxious weed problem is known to exist on any piece of land, regardless
of ownership, the landowner will first be alerted through a phone call or
by personal contact. Should oral contact be unsuccessful, a letter will
follow with an offer of assistance detailing available options and citing
applicable weed statutes, The Weed Coordinator will offer to help the
landowner develop a Weed PIan of Attack complete with potential roles of
local players. If the landowner does not respond or is intent on handling
the problem on his own,the Weed Coordinator will ask for a written plan
of attack complete with timeframe and agreeable dates for review. If,after
time passes, andreasonable progress is not being made to meet the
satisfaction of the Weed Coordinator, the matter will be taken to the
Advisory Board, The Board will then work with the Weed Coordinator
and the landowner toward resolution of the problem. 14 after a time, the
Board still sees insufficient progress, the County Commissioners shall be
alerted. That governing body will then take measures as stated in
Colorado Weed Law to control or eliminate the offensive weed infestation
To date, the Project has not needed to resort to these steps of enforcement.
Local public and private landowners have generally recognized that
"we're all ih this together." They have willingly chosen to throw their
efforts at eliminating these noxious weeds.
Van Valkenburg Cattle Co.,LLC Page 5 of 10
Construction Materials Limited Impact(110)Operation Reclamation Permit Application Form
