PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Peabody Sage Creek Mining, LLC., 36600 Routt County Rd. #27 Hayden, CO. 81639, has
<br />submitted an application for Technical Revision (TR) of the Peabody Sage Creek Mine, Permit
<br />Number C-2009-087. The revision (TR09) addresses modifications to the hydrology monitoring
<br />plan.
<br />The mine permit area, encompassing approximately 10,164 acres, is located approximately nine
<br />miles south of the Town of Hayden, Colorado, off Routt County Road 27. The mine permit area
<br />is covered by the Milner, Mount Harris, Rattlesnake Butte, and Dunckley USGS 7.5 minute
<br />quadrangle maps. The general legal description for lands affected by the Mine Permit
<br />Application Package (PAP) are located in Township 5 North, Range 87 West, all or portions of
<br />Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, and 22; and Township 6 North, Range
<br />87 West, all or portions of Sections 27, 28, 29, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36.
<br />The permit term is for five (5) years. Affected lands comprise only a small portion of the entire
<br />permit area. Surface and coal ownership within the proposed permit area include Sage Creek
<br />Holdings, LLC; the State of Colorado; and the U.S. Department of Interior (Bureau of Land
<br />Management). The ownership, precise location, and boundaries of lands within the permit area
<br />are identified in Section 2.03, and on Map 2.03-M1, of the PAP, and are included in this public
<br />notice by reference.
<br />Copies of the PAP, including the referenced Technical Revision application, are available for
<br />inspection at the mine office and the office of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining,
<br />and Safety. A copy of the Technical Revision application is also available for public inspection
<br />at the:

<br />Written comments or objections to the Technical Revision application should be submitted to the
