Likewise, we urge you to
insure that no drainage constructed along the haul route or from the gravel pits
will result in any runoff into the Ditch. If you approve this gravel mining project,
we also urge you to include a condition that no mining activity or material
stockpiles are allowed within 1,000 feet of the centerline of the Ditch.
Your careful attention to the design and construction of the proposed
bridge across the Ditch will likewise be most appreciated. Again, the Board does
not want to expose its maintenance personnel to any safety hazards, nor does it
wish to expose the Ditch to any structural damage or pollution, any of which
could occur in the event of a bridge failure and/or a truck going into the Ditch.
These concerns are expressed in accord with the Board's fiduciary
responsibilities to the Company and its shareholders. The Board takes no
position either in favor of or opposed to the ultimate granting or denying of Permit
No. M2016009.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we thank you for your time, attention
and consideration in this matter.
Sincer ly,
John J.
