Olsen Road. This proposed gravel pit has been rejected locally in the past <br />by the County Commissioners. My concerns as Fire Chief in the Pueblo Rural Fire <br />District are many. Olsen road is a main route for Fire and EMS in the Avondale area. The <br />added traffic on the road combined with the heavy agricultural traffic could become <br />problematic for emergency response by our Agency, and by The Pueblo County <br />Sherriif's office. We pride ourselves in the rapid response we provide to that area The <br />last thing I would want to see is a delayed response because of the additional truck and <br />heavy equipment traffic. The other main concern is what will mining that area do to the <br />erosion of the foothills that drain to Olsen road right now. As I have stated Olsen road <br />provides the only access east to the Avondale area when natural disaster strikes. The <br />1996 Blizzard, the 1998 flooding, 2015 and 2016 Heavy rain storms and most recently <br />
