Fort Carson Road, Gate, and Fence <br /> Potential Impacts and Mitigation <br /> Potential Problem: Construction of the access road could damage the fence, gate, or the access road. <br /> Solution: All Hitch Rack Ranch Quarry access road construction will occur west of the fence and gate, <br /> and these structures will not be impacted. The westernmost portion of the Fort Carson access road will be <br /> impacted by construction of an acceleration lane, with all construction activities occurring within the <br /> Highway 115 right-of-way. The acceleration lane will be designed following Colorado Department of <br /> Transportation (CDOT)guidelines and regulations and permitted with through CDOT. <br /> Conclusions <br /> Infrastructure on Fort Carson exists within 200 feet of the proposed Hitch Rack Ranch Quarry permit <br /> boundary. The road, gate, and fence are all located east of Highway 115, and Hitch Rack Ranch Quarry <br />
