Mr. Jack Henris
July 28, 2016
Page 2
m:\min\tc1\_teller\m-1980-244 cc-v\tr-80 tempwtrline\m-80-244-tr80par2016-07-28.docx
Lines to be identified in Comment No. 2 (shown by arrows)
3) Pipe Specifications. The pipe specifications indicate the discharge pressure at the pump
is expected to be 275 psig. Two specifications are given for 8-inch diameter HDPPE
pipe: DR 11 and DR 07. A quick reference to HDPE pipe standard specifications
indicate DR 07 is rated for 333 psi. However DR 11 is rated for 200 psi. Please explain
why how the two different pipes will be installed to ensure adequate pressure ratings
for the system.
4) Schedule. The schedule indicates “replacement fresh water line from Grassy Valley is
expected to be in place by the middle of November 2016, minimizing freezing
concerns.” The Division is concerned about potential delays in construction for the
permanent replacement line. How does CC&V intend to mitigate potential problems
due to freezing if there is a significant delay in the construction of the permanent water
line?
5) Reclamation cost estimate. The TR-80 submittal did not include a demolition cost for
the temporary water line. Please provide a demolition cost estimate.
