The Division <br /> published Notice of its Proposed Decision in the Chronicle-News on July 9, 2015 and July 16, 2015. <br /> Following the end of the 30-day public comment period that commenced July 10,2015 and ended at mid- <br /> night on August 10, 2015,the Division issued its Final Decision to Approve RN-6 on August 11, 2015. <br /> In a letter dated September 4, 2015,the Division transmitted to NECC two signed copies of permits for <br /> the Golden Eagle Mine. These permits had a four-year permit term, beginning on January 25, 2015 and <br /> ending on January 25, 2019. In the September 4,2015 letter,the Division stated: <br /> Please note that the permit issuance date for Permit Renewal 06 has changed to January 25, 2014. The <br /> RN-05 issuance date was June 22, 2009, which would yield a permit issuance date of June 22, 2014 for <br /> RN-06. This June 22 permit issuance date, however, is in error. The incorrect issuance date stems from <br /> an error with RN-02 permit issuance. Based on this new issuance date, the current permit term will be 4 <br /> years, 7 months instead of the normal 5 years. This shorter permit term reflects the change in the <br /> issuance date to the correct January 25 date. The new issuance date of January 25 will be carried <br /> forward so all future permit terms will be the standard 5 years. <br /> This letter of July 19, 2016, is being written to inform NECC that the statements"This June 22 permit <br /> issuance date, however, is in error"and"The incorrect issuance date stems from an error with RN-02 <br /> permit issuance" in our September 4, 2015 letter were themselves in error. There was no error with the <br /> permit issued in conjunction with the approval of the RN-02 permit renewal application. This letter is <br /> also being written to inform NECC that the permits for the Golden Eagle Mine that were issued with four- <br /> year terms beginning on January 25, 2015 and ending on January 25, 2019 were issued in error.
