A modified coil tubing
injector head sits on top of the well casing. The ground water monitoring wells are all two inch diameter
casings. First the well level PVC line is removed. This is a small threaded line that extends from the surface to
the water level so that the well sounding level tape does not get stuck in the tubing or wire line holding the
pump. Then the nitrogen gas displacement pump and tubing are pulled out of the well. In several of the
monitoring wells removing the equipment in place in the well was very difficult.
