In Photo 15 you can see production well 29-27 after reclamation is completed. The well is
plugged and abandoned, the well skid and piping are removed and the original contour of the
ridge is re-established prior to drill seeding. In order to restrict the footprint of the
disturbance to only the area previously disturbed smaller excavation equipment was used. The
smaller equipment also allowed mature trees and shrubs to be preserved along the lateral
roads and well pads. This photo presents a very sharp contrast with Photo 14 of the well
before reclamation.
44
ggr
c
r v
A
1
r * + $ r " aY@
..:E.?£" .^..act
Photo 15—Production Well 29-27 following reclamation and seeding. The isolated tree on the right corner of the
reclamation area was carefully preserved during the reclamation work. cast over material was brought back up
the slope to the pad to provide fill for contouring. The rocky soil and steep slopes made this one of the more
challenging wells to reclaim also one of the most difficult ones to photograph.
Solvay Chemicals, Inc.. 16
DRMS Annual Report
July 8,2016
