The MANUFACTURER shall provide sufficient production and qualified personnel to <br /> meet the demands of the work and shall have an internal quality control program for <br /> its product. <br /> 3. The MANUFACTURER shall permit MANAGER, DESIGN ENGINEER, and/or <br /> CERTIFYING ENGINEER or their authorized representative to visit the manufacturing <br /> plant. <br /> B. Geomembrane Installation Qualifications (INSTALLER) <br /> 1. INSTALLER shall be the MANUFACTURER or an approved CONTRACTOR trained and <br /> licensed to install the MANUFACTURER's geomembrane. Installation shall be <br /> performed under the constant direction of single Installation Superintendent who <br /> shall remain on-site and be responsible, throughout the geomembrane installation, <br /> for geomembrane layout, seaming, patching, testing, repairs, and all other activities <br /> by INSTALLER. <br /> 2. The Installation Superintendent shall have installed or supervised, at a minimum <br /> three installation projects that entailed the installation of at least a total of <br /> 1,000,000 square feet of the type of geomembrane that is being installed at the <br /> Squaw Gulch VLF Project. <br /> 3. Actual seaming shall be performed under the direction of a Master Seamer (who <br /> may also be the Installation Superintendent) who has seamed a minimum of <br /> 1,000,000 square feet of the type of geomembrane that is being installed at the <br /> Squaw Gulch VLF Project, using the same type of seaming apparatus specified for the <br /> Work. <br /> 4. The Installation Superintendent and/or Master Seamer shall be present whenever <br /> seaming is performed. <br /> C. Quality Assurance Program <br /> 1. All WORK shall be constructed, monitored, and tested in compliance with the <br /> requirements of the Construction Quality Assurance Plan (Section 01400.2). <br /> CONTRACTOR and MANUFACTURER shall participate in and comply with all items in <br /> these SPECIFICATIONS and requirements of the CQA plan. <br /> 2. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that each geomembrane MANUFACTURER that supplies <br /> materials to this project has an internal product quality control program that meets <br /> SPECIFICATIONS. <br /> 3. During manufacturing of the geomembrane, samples of geomembrane shall be <br /> removed for laboratory testing to ensure compliance with this SPECIFICATION. <br /> Conformance sampling and testing will be performed in accordance with the <br /> Construction Quality Assurance Plan. <br /> 4. CONTRACTOR shall assure that the geomembrane is delivered to the site at least 10 <br /> calendar days prior to installation. CONTRACTOR will provide required Quality <br /> Control information 10 calendar days prior to geosynthetics being delivered to the <br /> Page 4 <br />
