5 (FORM 2 -Public filing)
G. Total project area to be disturbed 0.15 (acres)
K. Describe the equipment to be used for the prospecting operations:
A small excavator, tracked skid steer, gas powered generator and a 2 inch gas powered
water pump will be used.
L. Describe and locate any structures to be constructed(i.e.stockpiles,ponds,impoundments):
Two small ponds will be constructed within the disturbed area to facilitate the washing of the material. Ponds will be
designed in a biangulai dimension (30'base x 15'height x 5 fout depth—8000 gallons).Appoximately 20,000
gallons will be used for the bulk sample. Ponds will use a pond liner;which will be disposed of after the bulk sample.
Water will be supplied from proposed well on site. General Well permit has been submitted to the Colorado
Do;;sien ef WateF Reseaees-.
M. Describe anticipated relationship to surface water and groundwater(proximity to streams, penetration of ground
water aquifers):
The site is approximately 1000 feet from a dry wash (Dry Creek) . Volume of water should
not create issue. Overflow of ponds will run into existing canal features from previous
mining activity.
IV. OPERATION AND RECLAMATION MEASURES:
1. The Board suggests that a photographic record of the pre-prospecting and post-prospecting conditions be kept by the
prospector. These photos should be taken from the same location and by the same method to clearly show the pre-prospecting
condition of the land and the reclamation efforts. Upon completion of reclamation and request for bond or surety release, the
Board may consider the photos as evidence of adequate reclamation, and thus, be able to act more quickly on the request for
release.
2. Provide a description of the native vegetation of the area to be disturbed, including tree, shrub, and grass communities of the
area. Color photographs, sufficient to adequately represent the ecology of the site and adequately labeled (including date,
orientation and location),may be used in lieu of a written description. Based on the quality of the photographs, the Division
may require additional detail.
Vegetation at the site is sparsp., the imna .tPd environment rontains rimarilV Low
Sagebrush (Artemisia arbuscula) and small amounts of native grass. The topsoil from the
cut will be stockpiled in the adjacent disturbed area. After the cut is complete - washed
sand will e placed into the cutn capped with e stockpiled topsol .
PV
