Cementing Details <br />Conductor Casing <br />o Annular volume 0.20138 ft3/ft. = 0.035868 bbl/ft (set at 90') <br />o Density 13.5 to15.0 Ib/gal <br />o Mixture Portland Type 1/II neat cement (add CaC12 if necessary) <br />o Cement Volume -3.23 bbls (with 50% excess = -4.84 bbls) <br />Monitor Well Casing <br />o Annular volume 0.0275 bbl/ft to 90'; 0.0214 bbl/ft to 1734'; 0.04 bbl/ft to 1749' (TD) <br />■ Density 13.5 to 15.0 lbs/gal <br />■ Mixture EXTENDACEM or equivalent w/ 0.125 Ib/sk. Poly -E -Flake <br />o Volume -38.27 bbls, minimum 50% excess = 57.52 bbls (to be verified subsequent <br />to open hole Gamma/Density/Caliper logging. <br />Appendix B -- Conductor & Monitor Hole Intervals: <br />Conductor Hole <br />1. Prepare surface pad location. <br />• If bedrock is encountered while digging pits a paleontologist must be onsite to observe <br />and record operations. <br />2. Mobilize Rotary Drilling Rig. <br />• Perform safety audit during rig up to ensure that equipment and setup complies with NS <br />project and safety requirements. <br />3. Pick up 9.750" BHA and drill conductor hole to ±90 feet. <br />• Consider the length of surface casing string that will be run. <br />• Surface casing will be 20' to 22' lengths, Range 1 or 40' to 45' lengths, Range 3. <br />• Record the depth at which bedrock is located. <br />• Record the depth at which any occurrence of groundwater is detected. <br />4. Install 7.625" casing to ±90'. <br />• Ensure top of casing is set flush with ground level. <br />• Install centralizers (9.875" x 7.625") at 3 locations: 2 feet from bottom, and at 30 feet and <br />10 feet from surface. <br />5. Grout annular space from TD (-90') to surface with cement. <br />• Plan on 50% excess cement. <br />• Wait for cement to cure for at least 8 hours. <br />• Take sample of cement to help determine set-up time. <br />• Top off annular space prior to re-entering hole. <br />6. Survey top of outer most casing <br />• DRG has set an elevation control point - Daub to survey elevation (plan this during WOC <br />time if possible). <br />Monitor Hole Interval - Rotary Rig <br />1. Rig up diverter. <br />2. Pick up a 6.5" drill bit and (BHA). <br />3. Trip in hole and rotary drill 6.5" hole using light mud to 1749 feet, -15 feet below projected <br />top of the L-5 (as determined by Daub geologist). <br />• Avoid excessive weight on bit to limit hole deviation. <br />• Take 5 foot rotary drill cutting (RDC) samples starting at -r50' above the top of the R-8 <br />Zone to confirm and check actual tops with the projected tops. <br />• TD will be determined by onsite geologist based on rotary cutting samples. <br />4.
