A NewFields representative monitored the backfill procedures to ensure that the <br /> anchor trench was constructed in accordance with the design drawings and project technical <br /> specifications. <br /> 2.4 Geomembrane Acceptance <br /> Panels P-1732 through P-1813 were accepted for Drain Cover Fill placement. The attached <br /> Figure 3 shows the acceptance areas. <br /> 3.0 STORM WATER MANAGEMENT <br /> Best Management Practices continued to be performed. <br /> 4.0 NEWFIELDS LABORATORY ACTIVITIES <br /> NewFields personnel performed sieve analysis, atterberg limits, compaction and permeability <br /> testing. The following samples were collected for laboratory testing: <br /> L Drain Cover Fill: NFDCF-5-R (Phase 1 VLF) <br /> Soil Liner Fill: NFSLF-25-C and NFSLF-27-C (Dump 1 Processing Plant) <br /> Soil Liner Fill: NFSLF-26-R Phase 1 VLF) <br /> 5.0 MEETINGS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> NewFields personnel attended the Weekly Contractor Planning Meeting (June 14, 2016), Ames <br /> daily safety meetings, Weekly Contractor Safety Meeting (June 16, 2016) and NewFields daily <br /> safety meetings. <br /> 6.0 MISCELLANEOUS, ISSUES AND CONCERNS <br /> Construction activities were stopped at 10:30am on Monday, June 13, 2016 due to <br /> thunderstorms. <br /> On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, Ames did not have the required piping materials required to extend <br /> the 15" HVSC pipe near Station 1-12+00. The pipe was capped and DCF was placed along the <br /> bench above the pipe, and the end of the pipe was left exposed. On Friday, June 17, 2016, the <br /> DCF was excavated so that the 15" HVSC pipe could be installed. NewFields personnel <br /> monitored the DCF excavation to ensure that the underlying geomembrane was not damaged. <br /> Page 4 <br />
