Ames began processing at the Dump 1 <br /> stockpile on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Approximately 117,802 dry tons of material has been <br /> processed as of Saturday, April 23, 2016. <br /> 1.6 Drain Cover Fill (DCF) <br /> An existing DCF haul route at the 9650 foot bench was pushed up the slope with two low <br /> ground pressure dozers in the area below stations H9+00 to H11+00. Ambient and fill material <br /> temperatures were monitored and recorded during fill placement to ensure that no frozen <br /> material was placed. The attached figure shows the area where fill was placed during this <br /> reporting period. <br /> 2.0 GEOSYNTHETICS <br /> 2.1 Geogrid <br /> Approximately 8,270 square feet of geogrid (total) was placed for the three layers of "step 4" at <br /> UG#6617. Geogrid placement is complete at UG#6617. <br /> 3.0 STORM WATER MANAGEMENT <br /> Best Management Practices continued to be performed. <br /> 4.0 NEWFIELDS LABORATORY ACTIVITIES <br /> NewFields personnel performed sieve analysis, atterberg limits, compaction and permeability <br /> testing. No material samples were collected during the reporting period. <br /> 5.0 MEETINGS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> NewFields personnel attended the weekly Contractor Planning Meeting (April 20, 2016), Ames <br /> daily safety meetings, Weekly Contractor Safety Meeting (April 21, 2016) and NewFields daily <br /> safety meetings. <br /> 6.0 MISCELLANEOUS, ISSUES AND CONCERNS <br /> NewFields personnel inspected the repaired DCF erosion area along the south perimeter road <br /> and barren lines for any new erosion due to the current runoff. No new erosion was observed. <br /> NewFlelds personnel will continue to monitor the area. <br /> The only work performed on Tuesday (4/19), Wednesday (4/20) and Saturday (4/23) was <br /> confirmatory drilling. <br /> Page 3 <br />
