Stover & Associates, Inc. <br />2352 North 7u' Street, Unit B <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501 <br />RE: Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine, Permit No. c-1984-065 <br />Permit Renewal No. 7 (RN -07) Preliminary Adequacy Review <br />Dear Mr. Stover, <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (the Division) has received an application for Permit <br />Renewal No. 7 (RN -07) from C.B. Minerals Company, LLC for the Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine (Coal Ridge). The <br />application was received on February 25, 2016, and deemed complete on March 4, 2016. Pursuant to Rule <br />2.08.5(3)(f) the application must have been submitted no later than April 12, 2016. The RN -07 <br />application was received before the required date, pursuant to Rule 2.08.5(1), Coal Ridge has retained <br />the right to successive renewal. The Division has reviewed the RN -07 application and the approved <br />permit application package (PAP) and has the following questions and comments. Responses to the <br />following adequacy questions will need to be submitted in the form of a minor revision or a technical <br />revision, as appropriate. <br />Rule 2.03.4 - Identification of Interests <br />1. Permit Section 2.2 - Identification of Interests. This section contains the names and addresses of <br />the mine operator, the resident agent, surface land owners, subsurface land owners and <br />contiguous surface owners. Please review the information contained in section 2.2 of the PAP <br />and update the information as necessary. Please review and update Figure 2.1-1 - Surface <br />Ownership Map and Figure 2.4-1 - Subsurface Ownership Map as necessary. <br />Rule 2.03.8 - Permit Term Information <br />2. The information contained in Section 2.6 of the permit is up to date and ends on October 9, <br />2016. Please update Section 2.6 with information for RN -07. <br />Rule 2.03.9 - Insurance Information <br />3. Exhibit 2.7-1 is the insurance certificate and insurance information for the Coal Ridge Mine. The <br />insurance certificate in the exhibit has an expiration date of July 12, 2016.
