Water right map codes 7 and 8 are associated with the reclaimed Blue
Ribbon Mine. Map code 7 is for the Blue Ribbon Well which has been
sealed. Map code 8 is for the Blue Ribbon Reservoir No. 1 which was been
reclaimed. Both of these water rights are adjacent to the permit boundary.
The ponds are man-made structures. The pond embankments are
constructed of earth material. The embankments typically have a low spot to
serve as an overflow spillway. The ponds are located in ephemeral
drainages typically near a spring. They have a surface area of about 500 to
2,000 square feet and vary in depth from two to eight feet.
Hubbard Creek, Terror Creek, and the creek in Stevens Gulch are perennial
streams which drain approximately 35, 29 and 8 square miles respectively.
West Terror Creek also a perennial stream is located within the Terror Creek
drainage area. All four creeks are important sources of irrigation water. The
flow in Terror Creek is supplemented during periods of low flow by
discharges from the Terror Creek Reservoir (Bruce Park Reservoir) which is
formed by earthen embankments.
